The company "Gold-MG" d.o.o. from Donji Žabar has been operating since 1999 and has 36 employees. They currently cultivate about 1,100 ha of land, and there is also an active fodder factory that produces complete feed and supplemetal feed mixtures with a capacity of 10 t/h, which also includes production lines of premix, pellets, extruded soybeans, dog and fish food, and it is possible to dry and store cereals.

They are also recognizable by modern calf and cattle farms with a total capacity of about 3.500 heads, and since last year they also have their own cattle slaughterhouse with a cooling capacity of 35 tons.

They are the first company in B&H to have a biogas power plant with a capacity of 1.000 kW, which enabled them to ecologically take care of the entire manure from pigs and cattle from their farms, reduce the use of fertilizers, employ local companies to build plants and motivate local development, employ 6 more people but also to improve animal welfare. In addition, this company also offers harmless removal services for various products of organic non-cellulose origin.

"This investment also enabled us to use the heat from the power plant, which we directed to the dryer and pellet mill, where it is possible to produce wood pellets for heating and pelleted organic fertilizer. In order to make production even more efficient and take care of environmental waste even better, we have applied for a grant from the Challenge Fund for a project to produce organic fertilizer from waste by-products using renewable energy," it was said in this company.

The value of the project is about 210.000 BAM, of which about 30% was financed by the C2C fund and the rest is the company's own participation.

"With this project, we got a new, very salable product on the domestic and foreign market, and that is organic pelleted fertilizer with no added additives. We hired 7 new employees and have created potential for four more. Through this production we dispose not only domestic animal garbage but also all waste and by-products from various food industries. The support of a fund such as C2C means a lot to us because we felt that someone else recognized our initiative and investment as a good environmental step, as a company where new jobs would be available, as someone who has a positive impact on the local community," it was pointed out in Gold-MG.
