Waste turned into a new product
They saw the solution for this problem in starting the production of pelleted organic fertilizer, which was also supported by the Challenge Fund.
"Large amounts of manure have made us think about how to solve this problem. That is why we designed a project for pelleting mature fertilizer, which is used in fruit and vegetable growing as a natural fertilizer. The value of the project is 19.998,36 KM, the C2C fund financed 49,14%, and the rest is our participation. The production process consists of collecting donkey manure, ripening, drying, grinding and pelleting. In addition to the positive environmental effect, we also got an economic one, which is an increase in income, which makes the production of donkey milk even more profitable," they say in "Mali Farmer (Little Farmer)".
Although the project did not plan new employment, after the installation of the equipment, there was a need to hire at least one employee, which is an additional effect of the realization of this project.
"Thank to the Challenge project that recognized our idea and helped us to get the necessary equipment more easily. This is a project that motivates entrepreneurs to be innovative and enterprising, and at the same time it is very transparent and prevents malversations. The existence of this fund and similar funds is very important for the development of entrepreneurship and small business, " point out on this farm, which was developed from the student project of a donkey milk farm. In addition to production of the donkey milk, as its basic product, " Mali Farmer (Little Farmer)" also produces natural cosmetics from donkey milk.
"We are not export-oriented, but we can say that we are dealing with indirect exports because a large number of tourists who come to our farm, take our products to their home countries," Mali Farmer (Little Farmer)" says with satisfaction
