The new line increased production and exports

In order to expand the range of products and introduce innovations in processing and packaging, the company "Sezona" from Foča applied to the second public call for grants from the Challenge Fund. The project received support in the amount of 49.75% of the total value, while the remaining 50.25% was provided by the company itself.

Thanks to this support, a production line for processing, drying and packaging of agricultural pre-packaged products was introduced, production and exports increased by 25%, and the number of employees doubled. The implementation of the project created at least 90 additional jobs in the supply chain.

"By investing in a dryer and a vacuum packer, our product has become more competitive. We plan to brand our own dried product (mushrooms and herbs) and enter the market with smaller vacuum packages of 250g-500g, which increases the selling price by three to five times compared to bulk sales, and total revenue is at least 25% higher. It is especially important that through this project we have provided a livelihood for 90 new families, among which there is a large number of returnees and the socially endangered, "they say in" Sezona ".

They add that they are just one example in a series that confirms how significant Challenge Fund support is.

"The Challenge Fund recognized us at the right time and made it easier for us to return to the market after the accident and 100% damage we had in 2015. We are grateful for that, because their support significantly influenced 2019 to be our most successful business year ", they say from this company.
