The C2C fund encourages the introduction of new technologies
"With this cutter, it is possible, for example, to chop old vehicles, and to separate metal from other materials such as glass, plastic, etc. During the chopping process.
Besides that, it is possible to make raw material from car tires. That can be used to produce thermal energy in the cement industry. Also, it is possible to process large reinforced concrete waste, which, mixed with crushed glass, can be an excellent raw material for backfilling, especially when making roads, the director of the company Alen Muharemović explains.
The total value of this project was 148.917,41 BAM, of which 60,84% was the participation of the company, and the remaining 39,16% was co-financed from the C2C fund. Thanks to the project, "Ekopraktik" hired two new employees.
The realization of this project will reduce the amount of metal waste, tires, construction waste and large household appliances that are inadequately disposed of in nature by at least 30%. At the same time, more than 50 individuals, mostly Roma, as well as about 40 companies that produce this type of waste will make extra money by selling these secondary raw materials.
The company "Ekopraktik" d.o.o. Zavidovići was founded in mid-2012 and deals with the purchase and primary processing of metallic and non-metallic waste. The company sells that processed raw materials to domestic companies. It currently employs 10 employees.
From its establishment date until today, the company has continuously grown and invested significant funds in working machines and equipment. Next to the existing location, a new business facility is being built.
They are of the opinion that the support of funds such as C2C is very important because it encourages companies to introduce new innovative technologies, which is why they adapt faster to the demands of the constantly changing market.
"The concept of the C2C fund simply forces companies to create projects that, in addition to their own benefit, will be important for the entire community," says Muharemović.
