From trade to organic production
"We wanted to start a plant for the production and packaging of soil regenerators and environmentally friendly, organic mineral fertilizers and detoxifiers of soil of natural origin. We also managed to make a plant protection that has no withdrawal period and is completely harmless to humans, animals and the environment. The corona virus pandemic has significantly slowed us down, but also encouraged us to make a new ecological product - disinfectant, which destroys all known viruses and bacteria and at the same time is not harmful to people, pets and nature," says Mervan Grbović, board member.
Their wish is to place their products on the foreign market, for which it is necessary to fulfill some more conditions, first of all to increase the volume of production and go through the procedure for enrollment on the list approved by the European Union.
"We are working on that and we will soon create preconditions for exports. When mass production starts, we will hire additional workers. As these are jobs that are not physically demanding, we will be able to employ more sensitive categories such as people with special needs. We also believe that, thanks to our products whose price is very acceptable, a large number of small producers will now decide to grow organic vegetables," Grbović points out.
The total value of the project is about 125,000 euros, of which 30,000 euros are grants from the Challenge Fund while the rest is own investment.
In "BH Garden", they are especially proud of the fact that with the realization of this project, they went from a trading house to a manufacturing company.
"We have been thinking about this project for several years and we did not dare to start its realization. The support of the C2C fund encouraged us and we are very grateful for that", they say in this company.
