C2C fund support important for starting a business
"The support of the Challenge to Change Fund was very important for starting our business. It was of great importance to us that we created our website (Manufaktura – Taste of Mother's Kitchen), procured computer equipment, trained employees, and covered the costs of marketing advertising, new packaging, as well as packaging design," says the owner, Sandra Jelin Kadrić.
She adds that the survival of the company, which was founded just before the pandemic, was a great challenge but that they are satisfied with the success they have achieved.
ZAZA Ltd. has been in business since the summer of 2019 and currently has five employees. Behind this name, there are two, now recognizable, brands: "MAMA Manufaktura" and "TORTE i to".
"TORTE i to" is a brand that has existed in our market since 2006. I have been a part of this franchise story from the beginning. In 2019, we closed our "TORTE i to" Caffe, but I took over the "TORTE i to" brand, opened the company ZAZA Ltd., and continued with the production of sweet delicacies", explains Sandra and emphasizes that MAMA Manufaktura is a unique concept on the market.
"We produce homemade, deep-frozen dumplings, gnocchi and „klepe“ (traditional Bosnian food). The recipes are traditional, mother's and the products are made exclusively by hand. We are overcrowded by the industrial, GMO offer on the market. The specificity of our products is reflected in the high-quality raw materials and food we use in the production process. When making dough for gnocchi and dumplings, we use only homemade potatoes, not potato flour.
Our products do not contain additives, preservatives, artificial flavours or flavour enhancers. In addition to the Standard line, we have introduced a Gluten-free line of products for clients who are on a gluten-free diet. We are proud to be the only ones on the BiH market that produce GF dumplings and gnocchi", says Sandra.
