With a maximum of € 30,000 from the C2C Fund grant, further development of the “Padjeni” dairy from Bileca was supported. They used these funds to procure and install equipment from subcontractors to store raw milk and educate producers. The total value of the project is 86,000 euros.

By implementing this project, dairies will provide better milk quality, reduce costs and create conditions for increasing the raw milk quantities of existing and the involvement of new producers.

"The importance of the project is greater because we also support many milk-producing families in this way. About 145 milk producers are directly involved in the project. Among them are returnee families, which is the only source of income, and often all family members are engaged on a farm. There are also young people we keep in the countryside. Thanks to the dairies, they have a guaranteed purchase and payment, "they say in this successful company.

The „PADJENI“ dairy was established in 1999 and its initial capacity was a modest 130 liters per day. Today, it is a modernly equipped facility with a daily processing capacity of 100,000 liters of fresh milk, which is being purchased from over 1000 subcontractors from the 22 municipalities of Herzegovina, Romanija and Podrinje. Raw milk is processed into about 30 dairy products and marketed throughout BiH, the surrounding countries (Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia) and Sweden. Following the trends of dairy development, it is constantly updating its product lines and trying to meet the needs of consumers by developing new products. It is located in a natural environment, in the mountainous area of an altitude of about 650 m.
