With the construction of the refrigerator and the purchase of modern machines, the company "Agro-Stroj" doo from Vitez has introduced an innovative method of packaging fresh berries that provides controlled conditions for storing fresh products. Fresh fruit thus has an extended lifespan of two to eight days and is packaged in small PVC packages.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic this year, they did not dare to start delivering fresh fruit outside the borders of BiH, so they turned to the domestic market.

"With the realization of this project, we have expanded the range of our products and, in addition to the predominant trade activity so far, we have become a serious processor. We have hired 6 people, and we plan to hire an additional number during the season. It is especially important that, thanks to the project, we will offer good conditions for cooperation to small producers. In addition to the excellent purchase price, we will provide everyone who wants affordable packages to start the production of berries, and education for organic production and the like," they say in this company.
They are grateful to the C2C Fund for their support and they say the opportunity to receive grant funds has encouraged them to invest, expand production and hire new workers. The total value of the project was BAM 224.942,53, of which BAM 58.674,90 was a grant fund.

"Agro-Stroj" was founded in 2011 and in the beginning, it was mainly engaged in the trade of agricultural products, but later it expanded its business to the trade in cosmetics and car cosmetics. Since 2018, the company has been the general representative in BiH of PRO-ECO organic products for plant nutrition and protection, which showed a high sensitivity to environmental protection. In 2019 and 2020, they built modern capacities for processing, storage, refrigeration and deep-freezing of fruits and vegetables.
